We took the famous high performing Diana 3 -18 metre flapped FAI-class sailplane and installed a 26 kW electrical FES-engine in the nose with automatic folding propeller which makes this glider a Self-Sustainer!
As a Self-Sustainer this glider can maintain altitude on the engine for maximum 1 continuous hour to reach back home or climb when you have sinked to low for lift/thermals but also as a lifeline in dangerous situations.
Today the Diana 3 FES can only be offered/delivered as an "Experimental" glider, but in the future we will go into the certification process. Check your country for the regulations on flying "Experimental" gliders!
